Sands

In July 1958, Frank Lazenby delivered the first load of fine white silica sand to the Australian Glass Manufacturers in Moonah. Lazenby Sand still produces Washed White Sharp Sand today, and more recently Fat Sand. We also stock other sands, such as Coarse Sand, and we can mix products together to make sands that suit your specifications (for applications like horse arenas and golf course bunkers).

We sell direct to the public by the bag, ute, trailer, or truck load. We also deliver to most eastern and western shore areas around greater Hobart. EFTPOS available.

Bedding Sand

Bedding Sand is a screened fine sand and the colour can vary from whitish to brown or grey. Bedding Sand is great to use as a bedding around pipes and cables, and under foundations (concrete slabs). Bunker Sand has grain sizes of 4mm and less. Bunker Sand is great for golf course bunkers, children's sand pits, and coring lawns (aerating soil). It may also be suitable for planning some succulents.

Coarse Sand, sometimes referred to as Goats Bluff Sand, has a grain size of 5mm and less. It’s really good for use under pavers and in potting sands and mixes. It might also be suitable in applications such as rendering, absorption pits, and dressage arenas.
